Typing
Typing is a basic computer literacy skill that not only saves time, but is important for most jobs. And the more skills an individual has, the more marketable she or he will be in the employment world. Whether you are just learning how to type or you want to improve your typing speed, a few typing lessons may be very useful.
Typing Speed Keys to Success
1. Do not look down at your hands! Look at a diagram of the keyboard or rely on your memory to find a key.
2. Repetition, repetition, repetition. Repetition is key to successfully building muscle memory. Most programs are based on memorizing common key sequences by repeating words that have a particular letter sequence. Practice often for shorter periods of time. A half hour three times a week will be more beneficial than an hour and a half once per week.
